The fact that Spyro is sailing into Game Pass became yesterdayon the official Xbox X profile(formerly Twitter) announced. You can read what has been included in which Game Pass subscription model since the change in the following article:

Many of us associate the little purple dragon Spyro with nostalgic memories of entertaining PS1 gaming sessions. The Reignited Trilogy, the remakes of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, but has also appeared on Xbox consoles, PC and now on Switch.

The titles originally published in the 90s were still impressive in the stylish new versions in 2018. In theOpencritic-The platformer trilogy scores an 81, in the GamePro test colleague Dennis even gave it an 85 and stated:

With the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, fans get a more than worthy remake and newcomers get one of the best jump & runs of all time for the PS4.

This is what awaits you in the Spyro games

In the platformers you jump, fly and run through imaginatively colorful levels, collect diamonds and stolen dragon eggs and simply grill nasty enemies with your fire breath. The three titles have a fairly timeless charm. This also applies to the simple but sweetly told stories that come with German dubbing.

With the funny, quirky characters, pretty animations and a very forgivable level of difficulty, the trilogy is definitely suitable for gaming with the whole family. On the other hand, if you're looking for really tough jump & run challenges or appreciate a darker tone, you probably won't be happy with the Reignited Trilogy.

If you don't have a Game Pass, the compilation is currently on offer in the PS Store for 13.99 euros.
