Every single act inis extremely challenging. Bosses are merciless and if you're also lacking in loot luck, then you'll quickly feel like you're not making any progress.
But you can make it a lot easier with a class if you just want to get to the end of the campaign. Because with a minimum of equipment, the ranger really cleans things up.
The Ranger
The ranger currently has a decisive advantage over other classes, which means she can really get started from level 1:You get your best skills right at the beginning.
The spec is based on the combination ofBlitzpfeilandLightning rod. You get both abilities directly with first level ability gems and they will carry you through the entire game.
Furthermore, the ranger is not complicated.You don't have to juggle any additional mechanics, such as the mercenary's ammunition or the witch's will.
This is how the lightning rod build works
Blitzpfeilyou get it automatically in the tutorial. The spell alone does a good job of cleaning up enemies, as it fires chain lightning that easily destroys early groups of enemies. As soon as you get a second ability gem, you should still do additionalLightning rodseparate
Lightning rodFires an arrow that sticks in the ground and pulses with a lightning nova as you deal Electro damage. So use it once or twiceLightning rodand then fires alongBlitzpfeilon it. This means you can eliminate groups of enemies in seconds and the first bosses also get good damage.
For your first passive gem you needScatter shot. Sockets that inLightning rod, so you can now fire three arrows instead of one. So you've quickly almost tripled your damage.
This will get you through the first few areas of the game easily and bosses shouldn't be a problem as long as you have a decent bow. Take a look at the dealer or upgrade one yourself.

English terms

- Blitzpfeil:Your main attack to trigger Lightning Rod.
- Pierce:Less damage, but you punch through enemies, which triggers more lightning rods.
- Combat speed:You fire faster and trigger the lightning rod effect more often.
- Lightning rod:Absolute killer against bosses and monsters. Always have some lying around to increase your damage.
- Scatter shot:Now three arrows will fall, which does more damage.
- Magnified effect:This makes the explosions bigger.
- Stormcaller Arrow:Deals incredible amounts of damage to single targets. Perfect for shocking bosses when they are too small to be hit by many lightning rods.
- Conduction:Double chance of shock from the ability.
- Coursing Current:Shock strikes hit targets in a radius
- Voltaic Mark:The marked enemy takes more shock damage and explodes upon death.
- Persistence:Shock duration doubled.
- Rain of arrows:If bosses are stationary or stunned, then there is nothing better against bosses.
- Concentrated effect:Reduces area but increases damage. You don't use the skill against hordes of monsters anyway, so you don't need the area effect.
- Acceleration:Arrows fall faster.
- Herald of Thunder:An aura that increases your electrical damage. Additionally, kills produce lightning bolts.
- Battle Frenzy:An aura thatragegenerated. Not only does it strengthen you in boss fights, but it also massively increases your rain of arrows.
Skillbaum
You should increase projectile damage at every opportunity.
When it comes to the skill tree, you can't go wrong. You need lightning and projectile damage. As soon as you get too much on your nose, you should also take a little evasion rating with you. You should also use every opportunity to penetrate your opponents' lightning defenses. Otherwise it will be difficult if you meet resistant opponents.
Boss fights
