We have summarized all the information about the first season, which you can now watch on Netflix, for you in this article:

When is One Piece series season 2 coming?

As for Season 2, it's difficult to estimate when it will happen. After Season 1 started filming, it took around a year and 8 months for the series to start. The producers have already said that from October 2023will be needed as long as there are no postponements. The second season would probably start in 2025, but with a bit of luck it could be at the end of 2024.

Netflix and the stars celebrate the start of filming with the following video:

Where can I watch season 2 of One Piece live action series?

The second season will also be a Netflix production and will therefore run exclusively on the Netflix streaming service.

How many episodes does One Piece season 2 have?

The number of episodes and their running time should be based on season 1. We are therefore assuming eight episodes, each lasting 49 to 64 minutes.

But it would also be possible that Netflix would produce more episodes (maybe even seasons?) due to the great success of season 1. It also depends on how well the plot of the next arc can be summarized in a few episodes.

Which arcs will be covered in Season 2?

After the first season pretty much covered the East Blue saga, the question now is how far season 2 will go. Netflix has now confirmed this with a list of all arcs:

  • Loguetown
  • Reverse Mountain
  • Whiskey Peak
  • Little Garden
  • Drum Island

No Alabasta:What is noticeable here is that the second season will not yet arrive at the first major arc. Because the series probably ends after Drum Island with Chopper. So the Straw Hat Gang probably doesn't set off for Alabasta until the third season to defeat Crocodile and get to know new allies like Vivi.

What about a German dubbing of the second season?

Here too, the second season is likely to be based on the first and will include a German language version directly upon release - which will probably also have German speakers from the anime.

What does the cast look like?

It can be strongly assumed that theCast from season 1returns, provided that the respective characters will play a role again in season 2:

What will Chopper look like?

Who is Chopper? One of the most important characters in Season 2 will be the Doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates. Because Chopper is usually a small moose who has eaten the human-human fruit and so not only walks on two legs, but can also talk and, if the opportunity arises, can also pump himself up to fight.

:In fact, Chopper is said to be a mixture of CGI and real prosthetics. We probably won't find out exactly what that will look like until after filming at the earliest, but it's exciting that the makers are choosing not to do the character entirely via CGI.

What role does Jamie Lee Curtis get?

Shortly after the first season, voices became louder and louder that a certain actress needed to be cast for season 2. This is Jamie Lee Curtis, known for “Halloween” and “Everything Everywhere All At Once”. She herself has already allied herself with the fans andis also drumming up a lot of advertising.

Who should Curtis play? This is Doctor Kuleha. She is Chopper's mentor and doesn't want to let him join the Straw Hat Pirates. You can see what Curtis could look like as Kuleha in this fan art:

What is One Piece Season 2 about?

Season 1 deals with the very first saga "East Blue", in which Luffy sets out to become King of the Pirates and meets his first crew members: Zorro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji. After defeating Arlong, the Straw Hats head to the Grand Line.

Consequently, it seems logical that season 2 follows on from the events, i.e. adapts the Alabasta saga (also called the Baroque Company saga), in which Luffy meets Chopper, among others.

The teaser at the end of the first season also suggests that this will be the casebecomes. Above all else, they will meet him in Logue Town. The scene has already been set.

Is there a trailer for the second season yet?

No, logically it doesn't exist yet. And there is not yet a teaser trailer that would do without scenes from the supposed second season.
