Nika is seen as a mystical warrior in the world of One Piece and, moreover, is revered by Elban's residents for centuries. Unfortunately there is hardly any information about the legendary warrior, since all records about him have disappeared. Elban is the only place where Nika's inheritance is carried on and its ideals are continued. Their culture, their desire for strength and freedom agree with the values of the legendary sun god at the time.

Nika already existed before the empty century, in which Joyboy, the very first pirate and an important figure in One Piece history, was considered a kind of successor or heritage of the legendary sun god. Since the bouquetors were hunted by the government to extermination, the giant warriors on Elban are the only people who still know from the legendary sun god Nika.
