Just a few months ago, “My First Gran Turismo” was announced – a spin-off from the racing game series that lets you race around three legendary Gran Turismo courses in selected cars. Now we know whenfreeTrial version of the legendary franchise appears.
My First Gran Turismo will be released in two days
Racing game fans, or rather those of you who have always wanted to get behind a Gran Turismo steering wheel, will soon have fresh food. Already onDecember 6th“My First Gran Turismo” will be released in the PSN Store for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Sony has that in oneofficial blog postannounced.
You can then download the slimmed-down Gran Turismo version for free and the scope is surprisingly large for a demo offshoot of the seventh part:
- Everything suits you18 vehiclesavailable, including the Lamborghini Countach or the Mazda RX-7.
- Three routesare included, all of which will be familiar to those familiar with the series:
- Kyoto Driving Park
- Deep Forest Raceway
- Trial Mountain Circuit
- You can play several modes:
- three racing cups
- three time trials
- three music rally stages
- multiple licensing exams
What are music rallies?
The game concept involves time trials in which you have to progress as quickly as possible along a route and complete distance targets. The challenges are each accompanied by a rhythmic song.
Easy access to great racing technology
You haven't seen each other yetdared, then “My First Gran Turismo” – as the name suggests – is intended to be a perfect introduction for newcomers. Many mechanics can be used in a simple form so that you are not overwhelmed. Former racing game fans who have not yet played the latest offshoot should also be able to switch off the relevant help.
If you have PSVR 2 glasses and want to try out a racing game, My First Gran Turismo offers appropriate support for this. Unfortunately, this doesn't work on the PS4, as there is no VR support.
It is also unclear whether the PS5 Pro's capabilities will be used.Gran Turismo 7 recently received a Pro patch for 8K, 120 Hertz and fancy ray tracing reflections, but it has not yet been confirmed whether My First Gran Turismo will also have these features. However, we do not assumesince they are missing in the trailer:
It's a shame, because the racing simulation is really impressive, especially with the car bodies and the sharp optics. But it's not necessarily dramatic either, because the current Gran Turismo engine, on which My First Gran Turismo is based, does a lot,as we found out in the tech comparison:

We don't currently believe that you'll end up with a platinum trophy if you do particularly well. The scope is probably too small compared to a real Gran Turismo, but who knows, maybe one or two challenges await us after all.
