If you stumble on Twitch over Luke Dales Canal, you can easily get the impression of having the real Hans Capon in front of you and in a way that is true. The actor and Voice Actor, who embodies the Bohemian nobles, has a lot with him - and that doesn't end with the appearances.
In his first game session withgave us exciting insights into a very outdated pre-release version of the RPG-which was not planned at all. The reason for this was that it would just have taken too long to update its old disc version to the current patch standard.
Strobo-See and Pummy bunnies: "Hans Capon" streams old pre-release build from KCD2
Dale had already streamed the first part of the medieval RPG on his Lordhanscapon Twitch Canal. At the beginning of the week, after his performance work, he finally started his first run in the sequel.
It quickly became apparent that Dales game looked kind of different than we know KCD2. First of all, the game on his PS5 ran much unround, and the lake, on which Capon and Co. camp, saw from "like from a different dimension", which also irritated the actor himself.
The water surface caused discoba lighting in the background with its wild flicker. But when Dale got into the ring to duel with the other Hans, the fans in chat were even more confused. "What's wrong with the rabbits?"It was read several times.
Here you can see what is meant:
These differences could be seen
The little bunnies that show under the compass whether we are in combat or are being sought just looked completely different. They had a little more on the ribs, but above all looked quite sketchy.
But there were still a few inconspicuous differences: life display and menu gave way a little from the final game. The faces also looked a little different when you take a closer look. Dale then explained that he played a unpaid "pre-release" version of the game, but that was by no means corresponding to what we played in the test phase.
A very, very old version, as Warhorse confirmed
It later turned out that he had started the RPG from a disc from a special edition. He had received them directly from the developer. It was a "very old version", as a Warhorse employee confirmed with which Dale made calls in the course of the stream.
In any case, Dale had only started the game unpacked because the download would have taken nine hours. This means that his special stream was actually an "accident", but the whole thing was very exciting because it gave us insights into a version that still lacked polishing.
Personally, I would have liked to look for differences. Dale saved the situation like a real nobleman, decided not to show the game in unfinished condition, answered a few questions instead and started again the next day - with patch! He proudly posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the download was finally done.
The whole thing is not only funny, but also just fits perfectly with the character, which Dale embodies in the game, because Hans rarely runs as planned - and Capon always manages to almost bend it again.
In any case, Dales Playthrough is also very entertaining of patched verresion. If you are interested in Behind The Scenes-Stories, you should definitely take a look. Dale likes to chat from the sewing box.
Have you ever watched dale to stream or do you find it generally exciting when voice actors or people play from the development team yourself?
