Even in its seventh year, all sorts of great games have appeared on the Nintendo Switch again. But the very best ones in 2024 won't come from Nintendo itself and are therefore not exclusives - at least according to the ratings of the international press.
Very important:GamePro's opinion was not decisive in the following ranking. Rather, we looked at which games were in the first 11 placesMetacriticended up at the front.
Places 11 to 6: The only Switch exclusive ends up here

This means that the best Switch exclusive of 2024 ends up in tenth place in the rankings of its international colleagues and, with Paper Mario: The Legend of the Aeon Gate, is "merely" a remake - but a truly fantastic one.
Where did Zelda end up?With her first adventure of her own in a long time, Zelda is inlanded in 15th place with a metascore of 85 points. But you can find out why this is anything but bad in our GamePro test from colleague Tobi:

Place 5 to 1: The best Switch game of 2024 is...

As far as first place goes, things are a little tricky on Switch this year. But first of allCongratulations to Konamiand the Dominus Collection from Castelavania, with which you can play the three classics Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia on the hybrid console for the first time.
HOWEVER... we are dealing with a collection of three old games. Extra praise should therefore go to Animal Well and of course Balatro, both of which were recently released in 2024 and have completely thrilled both Metroidvania and roguelike fans (like yours truly).
If you can relate to both genres, don't miss the games. The same applies, of course, to Pentiment, which was ported to the Switch in February and is a fantastic crime adventure with a special graphic style.
