We have already received the keys for the successor, so we're well on our way to shaking up medieval Bohemia. That's why we should be able to tell you what the sequel has in store just in time for the embargo to fall.

When will the test embargo for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 fall?

So we still have plenty of time to experience the story for the test and to get lost in the game world - and, as the preview phase has already shown, that can happen quickly. Like its predecessor, Kingdom Come 2 requires patience and attention.
Side activities such as blacksmithing, brewing potions or the dice mini-game can really slow you down. In addition, this time the world will be twice as big as its predecessor. It is divided into two maps: a more rural area with Trosky Castle and some villages and the large city of Kutná Hora and the surrounding area.

What you newbies need to know about Kingdom Come
If you haven't played the first Kingdom Come, you shouldn't have any major problems getting into the story. The sequel is set in a different region where Heinrich (or in English: Henry) meets many new characters.
The game also came up with a nice trick to show us scenes from the hero's past: he sees them in hallucinations after he is injured. Some topics can also be deepened in conversations with new acquaintances. So you learn a lot about Heinrich, at least in the first few hours.
If you don't know the first part, the game mechanics might take some getting used to. In addition to role-playing games, you can also expect survival and simulation elements as well as a tough rule system within the world.
For example, Heinrich has to eat, sleep, and can't endure as much as most other video game heroes, which is why it's often advisable to proceed quietly or without fighting.
