InNumerous secrets and puzzles can be discovered, which reward you with various goodies when discovered or solved. One thing we stumbled across during our playthroughs of the game is the optional mystery "The Serpent in the Garden" in the Vatican section of the game, which requires you to solve a book puzzle.
Solving book puzzles in the Vatican – step by step
Here you have to go:The secret "The Serpent in the Garden" is located in Father Ventura's study on the top floor of the Apostolic Palace. The room is marked on the map below.
You can get there by taking out the guards in front of the door, alternatively you can climb onto a scaffolding outside and then use your whip to swing to the open study window.
When you arrive in the study, you should first take care of the guard in the next room so that you can solve the puzzle undisturbed. On the desk you will find a bookshelf note that at first glance doesn't seem to be of much use to you.
The trick:You have to turn the piece of paper over (right stick); on the back is the order in which you have to pull out the books on the shelf on the wall.

Use the symbols to pull out the books in the correct order and activate the mechanism that opens a secret compartment.
This is what you get as a reward:In the secret compartment you will find 120 lira as well as a letter from Mussolini, which you can pocket to receive 100 discovery points.
Indiana Jones will be released on December 9th, 2024 for the Xbox Series X/S and the PC. There will also be an implementation for the PlayStation 5, for which a release is planned for spring 2025.
