Significantly more detailed than previous replicas
Now you will say: This happened before!That's true, but the "Liberty City Preservation Project" - the name of the mod - is significantly more detailed than previous replicas. In the "new" Liberty City, for example, pedestrians also walk around on the streets, there is a functioning subway, a mini-map and the option to teleport back and forth between Los Santos and the New York replica.

According to the developers behind the project, the mod works without any problems with the normal single-player campaign of Grand Theft Auto 5 and there are already a number of gameplay videos online that prove this.
Is Rockstar taking action?
It is questionable, however, whether the Liberty City Preservation Project will survive long. In any case, Rockstar is already in the pasttook action against similar projects, so it cannot be ruled out that this could also be the case here.
GTA 4 was released in 2008 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and a PC version followed later. The main playable character is Niko Bellic, who comes to Liberty City by ship and quickly becomes involved in the criminal activities of various factions in the city.
Meanwhile, the GTA fan base is eagerly waiting for a new sign of life. Since the first trailer in December 2023, things have been very quiet about the new part of the series, which is scheduled to appear in autumn 2025. Until then, you can while away the waiting time with a visit to Libery City.
