Microsoft has announced the games that will be leaving the Game Pass subscription service in mid-December 2024. That in itself is not unusual - but this time there is also a title that will not only disappear from the subscription in a few days, but also from the digital store.
We're talking about, which will be delisted on December 15, 2024. This means that you will simply no longer be able to buy the game digitally. The good news, however: If you bought the game beforehand, you can download it afterwards and continue playing.
Forza Horizon 4 will be the next game in the series that will soon be no longer available
Forza Horizon fans should already be familiar with this approach. Earlier parts of the series disappeared from digital stores over time, most recentlyin 2020. It had been known for a few months that the fourth offshoot would also be affected.
Now the time has finally come: If you haven't bought Forza Horizon 4 in the Microsoft Store or on Steam or only played it in Game Pass, it isfrom December 15thno longer available to you.
According to the developers, the reason for this is primarily licensing agreements with their partners. Still, that's a shame, because Forza Horizon 4 is one of the best racing games ever and could bedust off.
It's still worth getting the game now
At least there is also some good news. Anyone who already owns the game can continue to play it after it has disappeared from the stores - including all online and offline modes.
In keeping with this, Forza Horizon 4 is also currently on offer. On Steam you currently only pay 13.99 euros (80 percent discount) for the standard version - but the offer only runs until December 4th at 7:00 p.m. The game currently costs 14.35 euros in the Microsoft Store, and the offer is valid until December 12th.
If you also have a Game Pass subscription, you can try Forza Horizon 4 for free for at least a few days before you decide whether or not to buy it.
Of course, there is also still the option of simply purchasing the physical version of Forza Horizon 4 on disk. At least for used goods, prices could rise in the next few days due to current events.
