Epic's free promotion returns in 2024:As in previous years, the Epic Games Store is once again giving away a whole range of free games around the holidays. Unlike the normal weekly freebies, the offer here traditionally changes daily - so you only have 24 hours to grab the game in question for free.

Which free game is included on December 12, 2024?
This is currently not known. Normally you can always see a preview of the upcoming free game in the Epic Games Store a week in advance, but in the Advent calendar the titles are hidden. Here it's just called "a mysterious game".
But we don't have to wait too long, as the first game in the gift campaign will be revealed today at 5:00 p.m. We will update this article as soon as it is available.
This is how the Epic Games free promotion works
Starting December 12th, you'll probably be able to grab a new, free game every day. The titles will be revealed at 5:00 p.m. German time. This means you have 24 hours to grab the current title before it is replaced. You don't have to pay any money for the games, but you do need an Epic Games account.
Last year it was also the case that the promotion's first free game was available not just for one day, but for a whole week. We'll have to wait and see whether that will be the case again this year.
How many games does the promotion include?This is not yet known. Traditionally, the campaign ends towards the end of the year, so we can expect an average of 15 games.

This is how you secure the free games
As already mentioned, you of course need an account for the Epic Games Store. Then go to the website or open the PC launcher and navigate to the “Store” tab. Here you simply scroll down to the “free games” section.
Click on the respective free game, press the “Get” button and then “Send order”. A window will open about refunds and the right of withdrawal, which you still have to agree to. Then you've done it and the game will end up directly in your library.
The offer applies directly to the Epic Games Store, so you will receive the games for the PC.
