There were some big announcements at this year's Game Awards. Among them was a new offshoot of, which is based on the namehears. Unlike the original, this is not a Soulslike action RPG. Rather, Nightreign will be a mixture of co-op battle royale and roguelike.
If you are still unsure whether this mix could really be something for you, there is good news: you will soon be able to play the game without obligation. At least if you are admitted to the network test as testers.
This is how the network test for Elden Ring: Nightreign works
Publisher Bandai Namco has on the officialwebsiteThe game has already been announced that there will be a network test before the release. Of course, this is mainly used to subject the servers and the online network to extensive tests; after all, Nightreign is played in co-op and has to withstand this server load at the time of release.
At the same time, it also gives you the opportunity to try out Elden Ring: Nightreign in advance in detail and without obligation. You don't have to pay anything to play it - you only have to expect possible bugs and server problems.
In order to take part in the network test, you must register in advance. However, this is not possible yet, as registration does not begin until the beginning of next year:

It is not yet known exactly how long the network test will run and how many people will be selected as testers. So it might take a bit of luck to be selected.
It is not yet known when exactly Elden Ring: Nightreign will be released. So far only 2025 is given as the release year. In addition, the offshoot will not be a full-price title, but rather the price will be between 30 and 40 euros.
