It's been three months since thenDragon Ball Daimacelebrated its debut in October 2024. We are now in the 14th episode and have already learned a lot about the world of Dragon Ball in this short time - including more about the mysterious Shadow Realm, but also the Namekians.
Warning, risk of spoilers! This article is about content from Dragon Ball Daima up to and including Episode 14 that concerns the Namekian Neva and general lore.
Keep an eye on Neva
Along with Gomah and Degesu, Neva is just one of several characters who are new to the Dragon Ball universe. Already in the first episode of Dragon Ball Daima, part of his power is presented byrestores Earth's fossilized Dragon Balls, so that King Gomah can turn Son Goku and Co. into children at his request.
However, Neva's influence is particularly noticeable in the Shadow Realm. He doesn't just have to do thatcreate unique Dragon Balls, but also directlytheir guardians, the Tamagami.
In the 14th episode, however, a fresh piece of lore is added that gives you a new insight into how strong Neva really is. Even beyond the Dragon Balls, his influence on the demon kingdom is immense. He is behind the demarcation of the individual demonic realms.
More about Dragon Ball Daima
When Gomah breaks the connection to the first demonic realm, Neva restores it seemingly without any problems. In doing so, he reveals his role in raising the magical borders, because otherwise the different empires would have fought each other.
This requires so much magic that even Piccolo is amazed and calls Neva a legend.
Piccolo was previously considered the strongest Namekian until Neva snatched this powerful position away from him in Daima. Based on the information gathered so far, he is likely to be at the pinnacle of power among the Namekians - which makes the question of whether Piccolo himself can grow and surpass him over the course of Daima even more exciting.
It is all the more impressive that no one knew about this important event. It must have played into Neva's hands that so many believe his acting as a senile, old Namekian. In the anime, however, it becomes increasingly clear that this is just a facade.
Dragon Ball Daima tells a new adventure from the Dragon Ball universe and expands its lore into previously mysterious areas. The Shadow Realm was barely mentioned until the new anime and is the setting for a story for the first time.
New information is also coming to light about the Namekians away from Neva. For example, these don't come from the planet Namek at all, but from the demon realm. Piccolo's connection to Oberteufel Piccolo is also not quite as clear as originally thought.
