InA number of side missions await you, some with unexpected consequences. One of these quests is definitely "The Dire Wolf's Repentance", because it not only contains some new knowledge about the world of Thedas, it can even influence the ending.
At the finale of the quest series you will face a fragment of Mythal (in the Old Ones' Nest at the Crossroads). She is quite willing to help you – if you give the right answers. Otherwise you're in for one hell of a fight. To make it easier for you, we have listed all the correct answers here.
These are the correct answers in conversation with Mythal
First of all, don't be confused by Mythal's reactions. This often makes it sound like you answered incorrectly, even though that's not the case.
In fact, there are two correct answers and one incorrect answer for each of the four discussion topics. A wrong answer leads directly to combat, so you know immediately if you made a bad choice. However, if you gave one of the correct answers every time, Mythal will help you and also give you a unique item.
At the beginning of the conversation, first select “I want your help”. Then you have to convince them with the right answers. We have bolded the correct options for each:
We must stop the depravity.
- The corruption is your fault.
- You fought against them.
- People will die.
We have to stop the gods.
- Putting aside the subject of depravity?
- We don't need gods.
- You have been wronged.
Solas is helping me.
- You have my sympathy for what happened to you.
- Forget him.
- Respect him.
We are worthy.
- It means creating a safe place.
- It means killing monsters.
- I try to be like you.
If you have given all the correct answers, you will not only receive Mythal's favor, she will also voluntarily give you her essence. You will also get a unique item calledMythal's light.
What happens if you answer wrong?
Then, depending on your level, you will face a tough fight. Mythal then transforms into a dragon at level 45. If you manage to defeat "Mythal's Retribution", you will still get her essence, but Rook will note that it feels wrong.
You're also missing out on two things: you won't get the unique weapon Mythal's Light and Mythal won't be at your side in a very specific optional fight - namely against the enemy who is hiding at the intersection behind the gate that you can open with three different essences.
