However, only fans who have registered and have received an invitation can participate or have not yet received them, this does not necessarily mean that you are not there.
Larian explains in a post on XNamely, that the patch for the selected people will be rolled out in waves and you should therefore check your email inbox. If you are not among the lucky ones, unfortunately you have to be patient.

Patch 8 accidentally already on the PS5
Larian has in onePost on X(formerly Twitter) explains that the problem was published and the patch was released too early "in some regions". Our game was on version number 1,700,500 during the review, which should correspond to the currently correct version. Patch 8 should be named with version number 1,800,000.

What's going on here and why don't everyone have the patch?
This cannot be understood exactly. Several facts are conceivable and Larian has now withdrawn the premature patch, so that you no longer run the risk of accidentally downloading him.
However, we cannot rule out that he has not already installed himself with some players at an earlier period - possibly without your knowledge in the background. These are some facts and possibilities:
- The stress test will only be available for registered and selected fans. The premature patch was apparently even available for people who had not even applied for it. The patch may have been accessible here for more than just the selected people or for a completely random group of people.
- It would be possible for the patch to be rolled out prematurely for the US region, for example.
- However, the patch may also have been available for you for a certain time.
- The problem was limited to PS5.
What can you do now?
If you find out when checking your version number that your game has already been updated on the "wrong" version, you should uninstall the complete role -playing game and then reinstall.
Since Larian has already withdrawn the premature patch, your game will update the previous correct version during the new installation.
