InIt is well known that a large portion of luck is required if you want to win rare cards. The full-art cards, which show alternative artwork, are particularly popular.
So you would think that a fan got really lucky when he or she drew a so-called Godpack, which only contains cards of the rarity level☆or higher. But there was probably also a fair bit of bad luck involved, because the fan actually received the same card five times. He or she could make at least one person happy.
Pokémon fan draws rare Godpack and is punished with five Digdas
Reddit user Gekk0uga37 discovered the unusual pull in his miracle election and shared it directly with the community. As you can see in the screenshot here, a player was able to draw a rare Godpack, which has a probability of just 0.05 percent appearing. This can be seen from the fact that only cards with star rarity are included.
But the funny thing about the whole thing is yet to come:The fan drew the exact same card five times in a row, namely the alternative artwork for Digda from the Pikachu booster pack:

And it gets even better:While the fan was probably annoyed by all the duplicates, Redditor Gekk0uga37 was apparently very happy about the find. As the person writes, she was missing exactly one 1-star card from the Unbeatable Gene Booster Packs - namely Digda. There comes a miracle choice where you can't guess wrong, but it's just right.
Almost impossible probability
It cannot be said with certainty whether the image shown is real or whether the user helped with image editing. After all, the probability of pulling such a pack is extremely small. 1-star cards appear in Godpacks with a probability of around 40 percent, and Digda is also one of a total of eight 1-star cards in the Pikachu pack.
This means that the probability of drawing a Digda at all is 5 percent. This means that five 1-star Digdas should appear in God packs with a probability of 0.00003125 percent.
If we now consider that god packs themselves only appear with a probability of 0.05 percent, the overall probability of this pull is just 0.000000015625 percent if our dusty math skills don't let us down!
So it should be ridiculously rare to draw such a selection of cards - but of course it's not impossible. The community on Reddit is also having fun with the screenshot.
While some are also wondering whether the picture can really be real, others jokingly ask the thread creator which card he drew. Of course, he also posted a new screenshot, which unsurprisingly shows that he actually got a Digda.
Have you already drawn packs with unlikely duplicates?
