When we were visiting Ubisoft Quebec in January to finallyWe also asked the developers whether there will be a crossover. Unfortunately, Ubisoft did not want to be looked at the cards, gives us upthe official website of the DLCWith a picture now, however, reason for hope.
Ubisoft adorns Shadows page with first blade
Assassin's Creed Shadows will finally be released on March 20. The first DLC is already known with the claws from Awaji. For the expansion there is already an extra page on the official homepage, on which strangely a background image adorns the pre-order options that actually has nothing to do with the Shadow's part. The blade shown is that of Darius who lived long before Naoe and Yasuke.
On X (formerly Twitter), the Account AC Brotherhood News discovered this detail, illustrated with pictures and also put on the theory that a crossover could await us.

Who is Darius (actually Artabanos)?Without revealing too much: the Persian is a key figure from AC Odyssey who fought for the freedom of Persia. He appears in the DLC "The Legacy of the first blade", which already describes well what he stands for: the first (currently known) use of a hidden blade. Your weapon is correspondingly iconic and important.
How likely is a crossover?
Attention, Spoilers follow the end of AC Odyssey and the crossover with AC Valhalla.
Anyone who knows Ubisoft knows that the developers are very happy to hide information on future content, for example in the games themselves or on the website. So it is no wonder that the picture-which could also be replaced with existing DLC assets-is acted directly as a possible indication of a crossover.
In addition, there was already a crossover between Odyssey and Valhalla with "interwoven stories", which is why it is conceivable that Ubisoft ties in here.
And to stay with the "interwoven stories":The AC-Lore also allows a similar crossover with shadows. After all, Kassandra in Odyssey achieved immortality through the staff of the Hermes Trismegistos (an ISU artifact) and was able to meet Eviv around 1,300 years later. It does not receive his blade from Darius at the end of the Odyssey DLC, but it does not have to mean that it does not get to the weapon later, as an X-user notes in the comments.
The fact that Ubisoft Quebec is the lead studio for Odyssey and Shadows could of course also speak for it, but would probably not be a prerequisite for a crossover. After all, Valhalla comes from the first crossover with Odyssey mainly responsible from Ubisoft Montreal.
However, what speaks something against crossover theory,is that the picture appears on the website for the Awaji DLC. A crossover in which Kassandra celebrates her comeback in Japan and possibly looking for or wearing Darius' Klinge is generally conceivable, but not as part of the first expansion. The first information about the DLC at least doesn't speak for it.
In addition, Ubisoft would certainly bring out a crossover individually and promote - especially with a popular part as Odyssey.
So it could also be a placeholder, admittedly suspected. So don't expect too much while we keep our eyes open after a crossover. Until further notice, this is just speculation.

Admittedly, the picture with Darius' Klinge is a thin indication of a new crossover. Nevertheless, I was a fire and flame when I alone went through the possibility in my head. Due to its background, Kassandra logically ideal for crossover with almost every AC part and is also a very popular character. For my part, I found the crossover between Odyssey and Valhalla great, yes even goose bumps when Einvor met Kassandra, and would therefore like to have more of it.
And since I don't believe in coincidences in Ubisoft, when I am concerned with Assassin's Creed, I will continue to hope that the picture is not just a coincidence, but actually a first indication.
