Anno 117: Ubisoft shows the first screenshots from the new building strategy game

is the next part of the popular building strategy series and will be released next year in addition to the PC for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. So far, Ubisoft has only released information about the game sporadically, and there have not been any “real” pictures to see.

That has now changed.Because Ubisoft has now published four screenshots from the game that show landscapes from the game and which, according to Ubisoft, come from an early version of the game.

You can take a look at the screenshots here:

Blue sky, lots of space and a cozy waterfall. That makes you want to build a settlement here, doesn't it?

The images show the two previously confirmed regions of Albion and Lazio, which you can choose between at the start of the game. They are characterized primarily by rocks and partly wooded green areas, but one picture also shows a moor-like area.

Anno 117 is coming directly to Steam at launch

In addition, it was announced that Anno 117 would be available directly at launchwill be released on Steam. However, no information was given regarding a specific release date.

The first images from the game don't show any buildings or streets, but they do give a good first impression of what the title will actually look like. This was not possible in the announcement trailer.

Ubisoft revealed Anno 117 in June as part of the Summer Game Fest. The title takes place during the Pax Romana period, which lasted from around 27 BC. BC to around 180 AD. One of the game's major innovations is a level system for the population.

You can read more about this in our overview article:

Anno 117: Pax Romana is only the second major series part after Anno 1800, which is also being released unchanged for consoles. In 2007, Anno 1701, a stripped-down version of the building game for the Nintendo DS, was released and in 2009, Anno: Create a New World, a completely independent spin-off for the Wii and DS, was released.
