It was foreseeable, but now it's official: Support for the flopped Suicide Squad will soon be discontinued.
Rocksteady certainly imagined things differently after the success of the Batman games: Suicide Squad, released in February, never really got off the ground and is considered one of the bigger flops in the video game year of 2024. Unsurprisingly, the title is now coming to an end in terms of content .
The developers have now confirmed via the game's official website that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will no longer receive any further updates and content after Season 4.
In the fourth season, Deathstroke and Elseworld are added as environments; There are also new pieces of equipment and an offline mode, which will probably become more important in the future if the servers are switched off. Offline mode will be available with the rest of Season 4 Episode 7 content starting today, December 10th.
All game content, including the main story campaign and seasonal missions, will be playable without an internet connection. To do this, you can either create a new profile and start the game from the beginning or copy an existing online profile and transfer all the progress you have made so far to offline mode.
The final update for Suicide Squad will arrive in January 2025 in the form of Episode 8; With this, the developers are at least keeping their promise to deliver fresh content a year after the release.
Despite the new offline mode, all online features will remain available until further notice, including online co-op and all previous seasonal and episodic content.
Season 1 including the Joker is now available for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
