Capcom has announced the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake for another platform in December.

It has been known for a while that the Resident Evil 2 remake will also be available on iOS platforms. Now Capcom has nailed it and announced a specific release date.

Accordingly, the new edition of the survival horror classic will be available via the App Store from December 10, 2024 on the iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro platforms as well as iPads and Macs with an M1 chip or newer. If you want to try it out first, you can get a limited trial version as a free download to see for yourself. If you are convinced, you can then buy the complete game and continue your playthrough straight away.

Universal purchase and cross-progression are supported between the Apple platforms mentioned. If you buy the full version for one platform, you can also use it on all others. Progress made can easily be continued on the other platforms.

The game's controls are adjusted on iPhone and iPad; Among other things, there is also an auto-fire function with which you can fire your weapons automatically after you have aimed at your opponents for a short period of time. Various controllers can also be used on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

To date, the mobile implementations of major AAA console games on iPhone and iPad have pretty much flopped, including Resident Evil 7. Can the tide now turn with Resident Evil 2 Remake?
