News - PlayStation VR 2: Sony announces permanent price reduction!

The VR headset PlayStation VR 2 continues to have a niche existence, but Sony now wants to breathe into the hardware - thanks to a permanent price reduction!

PlayStation VR 2 has been available for a long time, but the Virtual Reality Headset from Sony couldn't really get started. Sony does not want to give small, but instead you try to make the pricing new.

So a permanent price reduction of the hardware for PlayStation 5 was announced via PlayStation blog. From the early start of March, the official recommended retail price is noticeably reduced to EUR 449.99. Compared to the previous retail price, this is a minus of a whopping 150 euros, after all you have actually had to shell out almost 600 euros at the RRP.

Better: This price not only applies to the VR headset alone, which in the package then brings the PSVR 2 Sense controller and a stereo headphone, but also for the PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle. This package, which also includes a voucher code for the VR game Horizon: Call of the Mountain in the PlayStation Store, also costs 449.99 euros. Before that, you had to pay for this 200 euros more, namely almost 650 euros. So if you want to stock up with the appropriate game food, you will use this package.

Sony is hoping for new sales of the VR headset, especially since recently with Alien: Rogue Incursion, Behemoth from Skydance or Metro Awakening VR have been released further well-known VR titles.
