News - Nintendo Switch 2: Microsoft is apparently planning many Xbox titles for the console

Shortly after Nintendo's announcement of the Switch 2, there are increasing signs that Microsoft will support the new platform on a large scale.

Last year, Microsoft announced a new multiplatform strategy, as part of which previously Xbox-exclusive titles would also find their way to Sony's PlayStation 5. This strategy is apparently to be expanded on a larger scale to the new Nintendo Switch 2.

On the occasion of the console's announcement, Brazilian gaming insider Petro Henrique Lutti Lippe, also known as phBrazil, revealed that Microsoft will have a large third-party line-up for the Switch 2. "There are more games from Microsoft for the Switch 2 than from any other company that I know of," said the insider.

A number of Xbox games are likely to find their way to the Switch 2, now that Nintendo's new platform is finally said to be significantly more powerful than its predecessor. Potential candidates are therefore titles like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, which - confirmed or at least rumored - should also come to the PS5. Even titles like Starfield or DOOM: The Dark Ages could be implemented for the Switch 2, especially since DOOM Eternal was once released for the original Switch.

Microsoft has not yet officially commented on the matter. It is possible that it will leave it at that until Nintendo presents the Switch 2 in its entirety, including technical details and release date on April 2, 2025.
