Monster Hunter Wilds has been available since the end of February and has been on an insane course since then. Capcom was now able to announce the reaching of a fat milestone.
With Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom has landed the hoped -for seller. In a press release, the company has now confirmed that the latest part of the monster franchise broke the high 10 million sales mark in the first month since the release on February 28, 2025 - a hard -looking value.
Monster Hunter Wilds has what it takes with the already successful previous release Monster Hunter World, which has sold a whopping 22 million times since its publication - one the brand that can still fall in the case of the latest series part.
Despite everything, not everything that shines was. On the release day, Monster Hunter Wilds reached the fabulous value of 1.3 million players at the same time, but the title was also criticized for its lack of PC optimization. For example, a Steam user said to his time: "This game is absolutely breathtaking - but it has the worst optimization that I have ever seen."
Since then, Capcom has also stubbornly been working on this area and has in the meantime pushed various PC improvements. The first very large content update should follow in the further course of the week, and the company has now promised another large patch of content for summer 2025.
Until then, one also wants to assume that the monsters are less challenging in the new series part than in previous games. With every update, Capcom now wants to offer more demanding monsters. UI- and UX tweaks are also on the plan, as are balancing improvements, above all, around individual weapons. The stability, especially on the PC, is also to be gradually improved, with VRAM use should also be minimized.
