GreedFall 2: The Dying World has been in Early Access for quite some time with quite mixed feedback so far. There is now another statement from the developers at the end of the year.
GreedFall 2: The Dying World has been in early access since September and has to respond to fan feedback. However, the initial feedback was quite mixed. In addition to some bugs, technical problems and old-fashioned graphics, the new combat system was particularly annoying. While the first part relied on direct action with self-sufficient companions, this time Spiders gets a taste of Bioware's tactical systems with a pause function and that doesn't go down well with the players, especially since the entire operation is quite bumpy.
For Spiders, Early Access is a challenging but rewarding experience, one saysStatement on Steam. But they are willing to develop a great game and listen to fan feedback at every step.
The recently postponed Update 0.2 is also mentioned again: "As mentioned in our last Community Update, we have decided to postpone the release of Update 0.2. Another hurdle is that Alvida's previous speaker is no longer available for unspecified reasons: "We recently met a new voice actress with whom we will re-record Alvida's text. That also means that we will have to re-record all of their previous lines to ensure that the voice doesn't change mid-game, so you can expect a change in the cast for Alvida starting with the next update."
Naming a release date is still not an issue for the time being. Spiders doesn't want to give a date until he's sure.
