The entire gaming industry is currently in a state of shock. After all, no one knows exactly when GTA 6 will be released and all studios want to avoid the supposed super-blockbuster. The fans are also sitting on red-hot coals. At least now we know: the wait is worth it.
At least if Strauss Zelnick has his way, your patience while waiting for Grand Theft Auto VI should more than pay off. In an interview with Conner Mather he at least stated that the game would be very good. This is no coincidence because the team enjoys an enormous amount of creative freedom.
The following statement definitely gives hope for a brilliant game: "[Grand Theft Auto VI] is much bigger and much better and more exciting and more beautiful than you could have ever imagined. Fan feedback is important. You can't be guided by data but by creativity."
He went on to say that Grand Theft Auto VI was simply "breathtaking." Now, of course, we have to be careful with such statements: Strauss Zelnick is of course interested in the success of GTA 6. After all, he benefits from financial success. But we can be sure of one thing: Rockstar Games will take the necessary time; the importance of the game for the studio should be beyond question.
The question remains exciting as to whether Grand Theft Auto VI will actually appear in autumn 2025. Because even if the developers are adamant about the deadline, there are always voices from the industry that loudly doubt it.
For example, the renowned journalist and insider Jason Schreier himself recently questioned the date. In addition, some fans were hoping for a new trailer at the Game Awards 2024, but they now see its absence as a bad sign for a punctual release. We can continue to stay excited.
Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI earlier than originally planned.
