News - Fallout (Amazon series) : Season 2 is delayed due to ongoing forest fires

The first season of the Amazon series adaptation of Fallout hit like a bomb - pun completely intended. As is well known, the next season is already in production, but the current circumstances in California caused a stop.

There is currently no specific start date for the second season of Amazon's Fallout series. But we at least know that filming started in November 2024. The industry is therefore expecting an approximate release in 2026. However, even this assumption could be threatened by the ongoing wildfires in California.

Several major fires are currently raging around Los Angeles. These are spreading further and further due to strong winds and are endangering some urban areas. Due to the dramatic situation, the city has now also withdrawn some filming permits for series and films that had previously been granted. The second season of Amazon's Fallout series is also affected by this.

However, we do not yet have to expect a massive delay due to the production stop. Because the ban currently only applies until tomorrow, Friday. However, the duration can of course change at any time based on the situation in and around Los Angeles. In any case, the priority is to ensure that those affected are safe and that the fires are stopped and extinguished as quickly as possible.

There is currently no solid information about the second season of the Amazon Fallout series. After all, it was recently confirmed that Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin will play a role. Who exactly is not yet known. All we currently know is that his character is “crazy and brilliant.”

The forest fires also affected numerous other productions. For example, NBC paused work on Hacks, Loot, Ted, Suits LA and Happy's Place. CBS and Disney also had to take breaks. In addition, film premieres have been canceled, the Critic Choice Awards ceremony has been postponed and the announcement of the Oscar nominees has been delayed by two days.

The series adaptation of Fallout starts on Amazon Prime on April 11th and now there is a trailer with over three minutes of scenes from the series.
