News - Dune: Awakening: Use the retro soundtrack of the previous games

The new survival-mmo dune: Awakening gets plenty of retro charm, because the soundtrack of the previous games will be on board.

If Dune: Awakening starts in May, older semesters will also be able to listen to well -known music among us. As was confirmed today, the new part in the sci-fi franchise will also appreciate the old strategy games. Accordingly, the soundtracks from Dune and Dune II: Battle for Arrakis from 1992 come into the title on the in-game radio of the Survival MMOS.

The soundtrack for Dune II: Battle for Arrakis was composed by Frank Klepacki, Philippe Ulrich and Stéphane Picq were responsible for Dune: Spice Opera's score. The latter was not released until 2024, but Stéphane Picq died in February 2025 and will no longer experience the comeback of his soundtrack in a new video game.

Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos comments on the soundtrack decision as follows: "Dune has left a legacy in books and films - but also in video games. The soundtracks from Dune and Dune II were among the greatest of the 90s and it is a great honor to be able to share them through the Communinet in Dune: Awakening with a new generation of players."

The central communication network in the game, the so -called communinet, offers three channels from which you can choose, as well as programs on emergencies, sandstorms or the Landsraad. Incidentally, you can switch on the official Areides and Harkonnen channels to hear propaganda, arena battle reports and motivational speeches.

If you don't feel like such propaganda, but are looking for something special when collecting raw materials or when building bases, you can hear Harvester radio that send the broadcaster for spice mining workers and simple workers who advertise, advertising, survival tips, music and entertainment such as episodes of an exclusive radio theater.
