Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone was announced not long ago and now the developers want to scrape together more budget for development via Kickstarter.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is intended to offer you an interesting gameplay mix in the zone around the Ukrainian power plant, building on the foundations of the first part, which was by no means unsuccessful. Of course, the second part should offer a little more of everything, which is why the developers now want to boost their budget a little.
As with its predecessor, the studio is relying on crowdfunding and plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign shortly. TheCampaign pre-launch pageis already available, should you be interested in registering for the start.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apocalyptic action RPG that combines free exploration of a vast and highly realistic open world, challenging combat, unique crafting, and team and base management with non-linear storytelling. There are certainly similarities with STALKER, but at least its predecessor had a different approach to gameplay with non-linear, mission-based gameplay, NPC missions and expanding your own base in the zone.
Aside from exploration, the combat system is to be further expanded, including with melee weapons. There is also an extensive skill system and crafting should also give you more individual options. In addition, missions in the campaign should also be playable online cooperatively.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is being developed by The Farm 51 and will be released in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. And to celebrate the day there is also a new feature trailer:
