The new shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has already made franchise history with its successful launch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has recently been available and - like every new part of the popular shooter series - is immediately causing a sensation. In the case of Black Ops 6, however, things are a little different because the title is already making franchise history.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has now confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has had the biggest launch in the successful history of Call of Duty. Nadella didn't give specific sales figures on the sidelines of a financial report for the first quarter of Microsoft's fiscal year, but that in itself is a remarkable fact - especially since at least some context followed.

Because: Black Ops 6 is known to be the first new part of the shooter series, which is included in the Xbox Game Pass from day 1 - and that had a noticeable impact on Microsoft's game subscription. Accordingly, the release of the new title would have ensured that a new record for additional Game Pass subscriptions was set.

Specifically, Nadella stated: "Last week's launch of Black Ops 6 is the largest Call of Duty release of all time and drove a record number of day one players and additional Game Pass subscriptions on Launch day, sales on PlayStation and Steam also increased by over 60 percent year-on-year."

The Microsoft CEO also sees this as a successful result of his own strategy of bringing players together, regardless of which screens and devices they use to consume their games.

From tomorrow, November 1st, that will be the caseavailable November 14ththrough.

The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 can also be played with the Xbox Game Pass.
