We all were already facing this problem. We have just finished a really good game and are now looking for titles that hit a similar notch.
Until you find it, you sometimes have to dig deeply. To master this problem, a small British team was composed and developed an app.Ludocene should lose search for perfect games in the future.
Ludocene: The dating app for video games
The app works like a top bubble: little by little you put together your own play catalog. Games that you can add to your deck will be suggested to you, or not - similar to swiping at Tinder and Co.
Based on your favorites, Ludocene then shows you titles that you could also like. These are presented in card form where you can display trailers, platform and price. According to the developers, Ludocene does not focus on AI, but ratherA database that was built up by people.
The cards don't just depict games. You canalso record experts in your deckthat are paid for by Ludocene for their participation. If you trust your taste, you will also show games that these experts recommend. So far, however, only English -language experts have been represented, including streamers, developers and journalists.
The project has already been successfulOn KickstarterFinanced, but can of course be supported even further to get early access to a prototype.
The finished app should come onto the market free of charge in about six months, but it will be possible to pay for a subscription. This gives users access to card packages with special criteria. For example, these can be games that have received a Game Award or games in which you can fish.
