Reports of sightings of this NPC behavior are increasing on platforms such as Reddit and YouTube. In short video clips you can see groups of computer-controlled figures gathering around the remains of other NPCs and kneeling down to loot.

There are different statements about how long this feature has been implemented. The Reddit post speaks of version 1.1, others claim that the thieves already have ithave been in the game since release. Regardless of when the NPCs started looting, it currently happens so rarely that many players do sohaven't noticed anything yethave.

Whether looting in Stalker 2 is worth it or not remains to be seen. The fact that NPCs even behave like this is pretty cool, though.
