Samsung also has a broad portfolio of entry-level and mid-range smartphones within its Galaxy phones, which is expanded annually. There will also be some new models coming in 2025 - including the (presumably so-called)Galaxy A56, which follows in the footsteps of the Galaxy A55 released in March.
The leaker specializing in Samsung smartphones »TheGalox« has now published some relevant specs for the Galaxy A56 shortly before the end of the year, which provide an insight into the technical data.
Samsung Galaxy A56: The leak at a glance
As a result, the Galaxy A56 (like most generations before it) will receive an improved SoC, which is the in-house oneExynos 1580acts.
- TheSamsung chip announced in Octoberhas a Cortex-A720 with 2.9 GHz clock speed, three Cortex-A720 with 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A520 with 1.95 GHz. The respective ARM cores are considered to be significantly more powerful than the Cortex-A78 clusters of the previous chip.
- In addition, the chip, which is manufactured with a structure width of 4 nm, theoretically offersBluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6E compatibility. It is still unclear whether the standards will also end up in the Galaxy A56.
Otherwise, the RAM will probably be expanded - but only in one variant. The Galaxy A56 with 256 GB of memory will probably be equipped with 12 GB of RAM, while the basic model with 128 GB will remain with eight GB of RAM.
Nothing should change about the main camera. According to the leak, the selfie camera will receive a downgrade, at least in terms of resolution, because instead of 32 megapixels there are only twelve MP.
Finally, the leaker mentions the same battery capacity as 5,000 mAh, which was already installed in the Galaxy A55. After all, the battery in the case of the Galaxy A56 should be able to be charged with 45 watts (previously: 25 watts).
Galaxy A55 vs. Galaxy A56: The specs comparison
The relevant changes compared to the predecessor relate to an improved processor and increased RAM in one of the Galaxy A56 variants. But you'll probably have to live with a lower-resolution selfie camera.
We have summarized a comparison of the two models for you in the following table:
Galaxy A55 (2024) | Galaxy A56 (2025) | |

The price given by the leaker is also exciting, as it at least states the recommended retail price of the Galaxy A56 in pounds.
The new Galaxy smartphone will go on sale in the UK for around GBP 440.The equivalent would be around 530 euros in this country.
However, TheGalox does not mention which of the two storage variations of the Galaxy A56 are involved. In the worst case scenario, you have to be prepared for another price increase of around 50 euros, because the Galaxy A55 was launched in the 128 GB version for just under 480 euros.
