The football game Rematch is currently attracting players on Steam.

When a studio like Sloclap, actually known for stylish spanking games likeand, suddenly dares to take virtual football, you can be skeptical. Or curious. Or both. But apparently the Kung Fu experts have hit a direct hit with their experiment.

Because, the latest project of the French is just in the open beta and has already on SteamOver 120,000 simultaneous playersattracted.

For comparison: With it, Rematch easily overhaules genre heavy weights likeon Valves platform. And mind you with a game in which you only check a player in which there are no licenses and in which you can't even foules.

Rocket League with legs

Rematch is quickly explained: 4-against-4 or 5-to-5, short matches, compact arenas, no offside, no fouls. Each player only controls one figure, which immediately awakens memories of Rocket League - only that here no cars, but characters rush over the lawn.

We have also spent a few hours in the surprisingly well-functioning multiplayer betz. In the following video we will show you how to play Rematch:

The Beta von Rematch runs on Steam until April 21, 2025. If you also want to play along, you canOn the Steam shop pageGet access.

While the beta is free, Rematch should put on a classic purchase model for the release on June 19, 2025.The fun should cost 25 euros later. But the game does not use in-game shop, loot boxes and other jokes.

Even during the open beta, the response in the Steam forums and on Reddit can hardly be overlooked. Not only the number of players is impressive, the feedback is also loud, constructive and full of enthusiasm.
