Far to the northwest of Arlathan Forestwe find a narrow gorge that takes us into the “Rugged Ruins”. A statue of Evanuris and a flickering artifact immediately catch the eye.
If we interact with the artifact, the quest beginsThe magic of the ancients, which sends us on a search for three broken crystals.

The first crystal
For the first crystal, we jump over the water to the west and follow the path upuntil it splits between a staircase and a path. Here we take the fork to the right and come across the first crystal. This can be repaired quickly with the skill wheel.
The second crystal
Afterwards we return to the intersection and this time take the white stairs, which slowly winds towards the west. Coming up the ledge, we reach a small plateau with boxes. There is a damaged device here that we can repair using the skill wheel. We then use the zip line to cross the gorge.
We'll need this version later - so let's fix it now!
If we continue to follow the path after a successful landing, we will immediately come across the second crystal. After a successful repair, only one crystal is left.
The third crystal
For the third crystal we use the energy radiator right next to the second crystal.We are not aiming at the socket in the building opposite, but further to the right at the socket that we repaired before the second crystal.
This requires a bit of sensitivity.
A bridge is created that opens the way to the previously inaccessible terrace with the third crystal. We can easily get to this new bridge by using the floating platforms and then jumping directly onto the bridge from there.
From here we go to the terrace and continue to the third crystal, which we repair again using the skill wheel.
Finally, we simply drop down across the floating platforms to return to the broken artifact. Now we can repair it and the true purpose of the device is revealed to us. Ugh!
