RCS stands for Rich Communication ServicesAnd has been standard on Android smartphones for some time and is widespread. Basically, RCS is the successor to SMS/MMS and eliminates many disadvantages and brings some improvements:

  • Support of high -resolution photos and videos
  • Support larger files
  • More security: Apple is working with the GSMA on end-to-end encryption, which is to be integrated native into RCS.
  • Real-time tip indicators
  • Reading confirmations
  • Emoji reactions

  • Messages can be sent via Wi-Fi.
