Cassian is supposed to hand over his valuable prey to Yavin 4 (where a secret base of the rebels will later be) to a contact person.But that works anything but smooth.
Arrived on Yavin 4, he is dealing with a cell of rebel fighters here, which begins with mutually tushering each other without a leader. At the same time, the leadership team of the empire plans the genocide of an entire planet.
Ultimately, Cassian manages to escape and rush to his friends on Mina-Rau to help. In the meantime, the empire has stretched out its long fingers, which browses Bix (Adria Rjona), Brasso (Joplin Sibtain), Wilmon (Muhannad Ben Amor) and B2EMO (Dave Chapman).

Not the only super-tie fighter of the empire
Incidentally, it is not the first time that the empire experiments around the tie fighter more powerful versions.In the animation series Star Wars Rebels, Großadmiral Thrawn leads the Tie Defender program, however, by Ezra Bridger and the crew of the Ghost.
Ultimately, this leads to the fact that Thrawn and Ezra are catapulted from the Star Wars universe known to us (space whales are to blame!). A reunion with the two was only back with the Ahsoka series, for which season 2 is currently in the works.
