It's probably no surprisethat I as a strategy lover I'm not a big mobile fan. Every now and then I find something, but it's usually just ports, for example Hearthstone years ago or currently TFT from League of Legends.
An exception last year was Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, which was somewhat convincing in terms of gameplay mechanics, but then took up too much time and is now no longer even playable. Because on October 29, 2024, the plug was simply pulled in Europe and America for unknown reasons. Another low point in a market that has long needed to be more regulated, especially in relation to gambling mechanisms.
But that's not really what it's about, personally I'm much more bothered by the latest confusion in Age of Empires.Because what Microsoft offers in the app stores has nothing to do with the brand, uses the worst P2W and gambling methods and also sells people for stupid. It’s time for one of my rare – public – tantrums.
