Stand:
For 16 episodes, fans were looking forward to the big finale of season 4. But 7 vs. Wild doesn't seem to have learned from the mistakes of the past few years.
Have snow, fire and tearsin New Zealand was probably the toughest challenge of the series so far. The success of all the participants who made it through to the end of the 4th season is even greater. However, how they celebrated their victory remains a secret for now - once again.
Season finale of 7 vs. Wild doesn't show what everyone wants to see
Sequel follows:After their kilometer-long hike through the New Zealand mountain valley, the group finally meets other faces again. Fritz Meinecke and his team welcome the winning quartet around Joe Vogel. Then the four remaining participants get into their pick-up transport and... over, that's it. After almost 16 episodes of survival adventure, there wasn't much more to see of Triumph. As a spectator, you didn't get to see the first real meal since the suspension, conversations with previously eliminated group members or an award ceremony. That was different - but even then disappointing.
Every year the marmot greets: On the contrary, even at the time of the Panama and Canada editions, fans complained that the ending was far too short. Compared to the current Crashed edition, these final episodes were significantly longer. Instead of heeding the audience's criticism, the team behind the series actually makes everything worse.
Why is the finale so short? As always, the background is to save video material for the behind the scenes episodes. More information about the collection will only be published in a few weeks. Hardly anyone in the community is happy about this fact.
Fans angry after finale of 7 vs. Wild – last episode was a “crass disappointment”
Viewer reactions:How well 7 vs. Wild is received can often be seen at a glanceRedditanswer. It becomes clear there that Fritz Meinecke didn't do himself any favors with the abrupt ending. The following excerpts prove this:
- “We saw Fritz in front of the mailbox longer than the participants did after they arrived…” – u/Maschell
- “It's a wonderful episode in itself, but the fact that the arrival was described so succinctly frustrated me very much.” – u/Woorari
- “I think it’s a damn shame to let the whole thing end so abruptly and now have to wait until Christmas for BTS.” – u/scooterlocke
- “This ridiculously short ending really hits home after you've been excited for weeks. Three minutes and you hardly see any of the overwhelming joy of the participants that you have been waiting for so long. Huge disappointment.” – u/derrickpas
- “The ending was too abrupt for me, they could have shown a bit of conversations etc..” – u/_Ganoes_
If you read the community's comments, the decision seems doubly unfortunate. Because actually, at least that's what many people write, the last episode of season 4 was a real highlight. The last march together and all its emotions left the fans excited.
