Numerous reporting since the early morning hours of February 8, 2025-User connection problems with the PlayStation Network (PSN). Sony has now confirmed that there is a persistent disorder that affects several areas.
Current status (4:50 p.m.): The impatience grows among the Playstation players every hour. PSN is still down, but from Sony there is no word about the state of affairs.
Update, at 4:50 p.m.Not only multiplayer, but sometimes also single players cannot access their games due to the disorder. Due to online license reviews, digital purchases are also not playable according to the reports of some users.

Regardless of whether it is a list of friends, trophy statistics or the game history: all categories cannot currently be called up. Since the nightly service post on X, PlayStation has still not submitted any further water level report. It remains unclear whether and when the problems will be resolved at the weekend.

According to the official PSN status page, the following services are affected:
- Account management: Problems with login and creating new accounts. Editing an account is currently not possible.
- Games and social networks: Difficulties starting games, multiplayer modes and social functions.
- PlayStation Video: Calling video content is currently disrupted.
- PlayStation Store und PlayStation Direct: Purchases and transactions not possible.

Sony is working in the disturbance of PlayStation Network
The first reports on the disorder were received on the night of February 8th. The failure has still existed for at least seven hours. According to Sony, the problem is known and is being examined. “We are working to fix the problem as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, ”says the official PSN status page.
