With the launch of Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 on December 1, 2024, an exciting new era began for players. The Japan-inspired map with locations like Warrior's Watch, Seaport City and Shogun's Solitude brought a breath of fresh air into the game. New features such as improved parkour mechanics and weapons also caused enthusiasm. The Battle Pass is another highlight in the Fortnite update.
But at the beginning of January 2025 the shock came: players who could still use the Battle Pass in December suddenly no longer had access to it. It quickly became clear: Fortnite Crew subscribers who had not renewed their membership were particularly affected.

Epic Games introduced a serious change to their monetization system at the end of 2024. From December 2024, the Fortnite Crew membership automatically included the Battle Pass as a bonus. However, there was a new rule: If you didn't renew your subscription, you lost access to the Battle Pass.
