The official Medalist anime YouTube channel released a trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Tsurumaikada's touching manga series.
The story of Medalist follows former figure skater Tsukasa Akeuraji and 11-year-old Inori Yuitsuka, who dreams of becoming a world-class figure skater.
Tsukasa has actually given up on his dream as a figure skater, but then he meets the young girl Inori and his life takes a completely new turn. Unlike him, Inori doesn't give up, even when it's difficult. She is very clumsy and her mother and teachers don't believe in her dream. Even her classmates make fun of her.
When Tsukasa sees how effortlessly and elegantly the little girl moves on the ice, he realizes: He will personally ensure that Inori's dream becomes reality and support her as her coach.
According to sources, Medalist is scheduled to release on Crunchyroll as early as January 5, 2025. It is currently unknown whether there will only be English subtitles for the Japanese dub or whether German subtitles will also be included.
