Stardew Valley fans can't divorce spouses on Switch and Concerned Ape says help is on the way

Anyone who is fed up with their husband or wife in Stardew Valley currently has a problem on the Switch.

Last year in November the time had finally come: the big content update for, Patch 1.6, has also been released for the Switch. However, there are currently still a few problems that players are struggling with on the Nintendo console. Developer Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone has now given a water level report about the status of the fixes.

This is what Concerned Ape says about the new Switch patch

PC gamers have been able to dive into the new content since May of last year, while the big update on consoles and mobile followed later. The versions are therefore still at different levels and anyone who plays on Switch still has to wait for important fixes.

For example, fans of the Farm Sim have the problem that a marriage currently seems to mean "until the end of days" because there is a bug in divorce. According to some reports, the game regularly crashes at the end of the day as they pursue their new relationship status. The raccoon isn't always doing what it's supposed to either.

But don't worry: Concerned Ape is aware of these problems and is already working hard on fixes.as he confirms in a new post on X (formerly Twitter):

The Switch patch that fixes the divorce crash and the Raccoon Shop issues (among other issues) is still in the works. It will be published as soon as possible.

When will the fix come?In keeping with his usual style, the developer does not provide a specific release date. While Barone has gotten help for some things in his game, he still does most of the work himself and doesn't like making promises he might not be able to keep.

However, the community usually appreciates how much content is still being delivered free of charge for the game, which was first released in 2016. Concerned Ape has another completely new title in the pipeline. You can find out more about this in the article linked above.
