Many players love unlocking trophies and collecting as many of them as possible. Some take this sport to the extreme and one of them is Hakoom. He has already been there five timesand has thus achieved exceptional status.

However, his PSN account was recently blocked, which ultimately led to him turning his back on Sony. But one thing at a time.

Five-time world record holder for (platinum) trophy collecting has fallen out with Sony

That's what it's about:That probablyposted a video on Instagram in which he complained massively about Sony.

His account was initially blocked without giving a reason, he hadn't received an email about it and customer service initially didn't want to really explain what exactly was going on.

After some back and forth and many phone calls, it turned out that irregular activity had been observed on the PSN account.

Hakoom connected a suspicious number of different consoles to his account and also unlocked an unusually large number of trophies within a very short period of time? even in games he wouldn't have played.

Too many trophies in a short space of time?According to the trophy collector, this can easily be explained by the fact that some PS4 games with a PS5 version offer the option of unlocking all the trophies already earned on the PS4 in the PS5 version in one fell swoop. This means Trophy Hunters can grab double trophies without having to play for long.

The end of the story now looks like Sony has converted the permanent ban into a temporary ban. The PSN account is free again and Hakoom can continue playing. The whole thing was two months ago, but the prominent trophy collector has only now turned to the public.

More news from the community:

Relationship apparently permanently damaged:Hakoom had occupied a kind of special position at Sony and was, among other things, on the company's press list. Which means that the company regularly sent him review keys for games and probably even consoles. But that's probably over now.

Hakoom himself says he officially doesn't want to have anything to do with Sony anymore anyway. He could no longer trust the brand because they had “treated him like a criminal” and were also “leaking user information”.

How many platinum trophies have you been able to get so far and have you had any problems unlocking trophies from PS4 games on the PS5?
