Dragon Ball hero Son Goku versus Black Myth: Wukong's chosen one aka Japan versus China.

The official posters for the Japan vs. China World Cup qualifier are really impressive. That's what the chosen ones are afteras well as Son Goku from Dragon Ball. Which of course fits perfectly with the countries and the meeting between the two teams.

That's what it's about:In order to qualify for the men's World Cup, the national teams of China and Japan will compete against each other today, November 20th. The game has two posters of its own that perfectly symbolize the clash of cultures with Sun and Son Goku.

The poster are good, but we always lose the game. Good thing I'm not a football fan or a Wukong fan.

What does that mean?Dragon Ball comes from Japan and Black Myth: Wukong comes from China. But that's not all. After all, both works are more or less loosely based on the basic framework of the ancient story called The Journey to the West. In it we deal with a warlike monkey who rides on a cloud and uses a battle staff. Does that sound familiar?

How exactly this is all connected, you can read this GamePro article here:

At the beginning of the series he has a tail and can transform into a were-monkey, but little else reminds him of the monkey. However, that wasn't always the case and Akira Toriyama's first design draft for Son Goku makes that abundantly clear.

The fact that these two characters from such important pop culture works from both countries compete against each other on the poster and actually have so much in common makes the whole thing so outstanding. The posters are then really celebrated in the comments. Some people even write that they want to print out such a poster and hang it up.

Now it's your turn: What do you think of the two posters, did you already know the common model and which poster do you like better? Would you hang one of these up?
