Solo Leveling has just completed a large emotional ARC with Episode 9 and even showed Jin-Woo from a slightly different side. However, fans have no time to breathe, because Crunchyroll published the trailer for the next episode a few days ago and thus the possibly most popular action sheet from the web comic: the Jeju Island-Arc.

In the new crunchyroll preview on the 10th episode of Solo Leveling, the upcoming Jeju Island-Arc is indicated and the most important S-rang hunters belonging to the raid are shown. Fans of the WebComic series are particularly looking forward to the appearance of a very specific opponent: the ant king.

Spoilerwarnung! In the following section, both the current events and the upcoming Jeju Island-Arc are dealt with in part. If you are not up to date with the Anime of Solo Leveling or do not know what the Jeju Island-Arc is about, important plot elements will be anticipated.

Fans are looking forward to the ant king Beru

Jeju Island-Arc is one of the most popular-if not the most popular-arch of action in the Solo Leveling community. It is an ARC in which Jin-Woo is not even the focus.

After all, his mother has just woke up from a coma and he would rather spend time with her and his family than to take part in an S-Rang-Raid. The protagonist first cancel the fourth Jeju Island-Raid.

With the Jeju Island-Raid, the strengths and weaknesses of the other S-rank hunters such as Cha Hae-in and Choi Jong-in are clearly displayed. In addition, the Korean hunter association works for the first time with its rivals from Japan to contain the threat of antbesties on Jeju Island. These include the S-Rang hunter Goto Ryuji and the head of the Japanese Jäger Association Matsumoto Shigeo.

The next ARC is one of the highlights in the history of Solo Leveling. Fans are particularly looking forward to an unusual character away from the hunters: Beru, quasi the king of antbestia.

This contribution by X-User @animenewscenter shows how excited the community is on the anime adaptation of the community favorite:

In the article, the fan compares the representation of the ant king in the webcomic with the adaptation in anime and the opinions differ. On the one hand, the community is incredibly excited about the appearance of one of the most popular characters from the ARC, on the other hand, many are not sure whether the anime will give it the necessary epic radiation.

Attention, even more spoilers! In the next section, the ant king is described in more detail and explains why it is so popular with the solo leveling community. However, this spoils a large aspect of the Jeju Island-Arc. So if you haven't read the webcomic yet and want to look at the ARC spoiler -free, you shouldn't read more here!

Ant king Beru, the secret hero of the Jeju Island-Arc

While the ants are presented as a clear antagonist at the beginning of the ARC, the real villain is someone else: the strongest Japanese hunter Goto Ryuji. In the webcomic, the Korean S-hunters manage to quickly find the residence of the ant queen and kill her.

The mission would therefore be successfully executed and the dungeon raid was completed-if it weren't for the Japanese S-rang hunter Goto Ryuji! The Japanese hunter association never intended to help their Korean colleagues after completing the mission and wanted to leave them in the dungeon.

The Korean S-hunters were surrounded by the ants and Goto Ryuji was indifferent to what becomes his comrades. In the end, this extreme arrogance led to his death-even before Jin-Woo intervened. Goto Ryuji was attacked by ant king Beru. Finally, it was part of Berus tasks as a king to protect his entourage and his queen and to remove threats.

Goto Ryuji was too proud and arrogant to admit that Beru was stronger and was therefore killed by him in the fight. From then on, Beru-even if he was only a magical beast-was one of the most popular characters from Solo Leveling because he defeated the insidious and malignant character-even without Jin-Woos.
