Sony revealed the new games for PlayStation Plus Essential last week, and the announcement of the extra and premium games from the January 2025 lineup isn't long in coming. You can find the date and time of the announcement here.

When can I play the new PS Plus games for Extra/Premium?
- Expected date: From Tuesday, December21 January 2025
- expected time:Activation between 12/1 p.m. noon
Where does this information come from?Sony usually unlocks the new extra/premium games on the third Tuesday of the month. The announcement of the new titles will take place on the previous Wednesday.
This time, January 15, 2025 (Wednesday) is the date for the announcement and January 21, 2025 (Tuesday) for the titles in the PS Plus division to go live. 5:30 p.m. is the traditional time for unveiling new games.
