The star Pokémon of the current set - Pikachu-ex, Mewtwo-ex and Charizard-ex - which are also at the top of the current meta, are represented in the top four places. But a water deck with the powerful Arktos-ex proves that it can definitely keep up with the three giants.

Below we take a look at the decks and show you what they say about the current meta and what makes them so special.

Charizard-ex (1st place):The fire deck is probably the biggest possible innovation. This doesn't work with just Lavados-ex, which hopefully charges Charizard-ex diligently with energy. In addition, Arkani-ex is also present, which gives the deck the necessary amount of speed.

Unlike Charizard-ex, Arcanine-ex only needs to evolve once. It also requires less energy for its powerful attack, but takes damage in return. A price that, when applied at the right moment, is completely negligible.

Death-ex (Platz 2):The Mewtwo deck is quite classic compared to Charizard-ex. X-Thread creator and streamer@sirkaptkerrbut expresses his surprise that the deck not only managed without a red card, but also directly reached second place in the tournament.

The red card is actually intended to give you a little breather while you charge your Mewtwo-ex or are still in the process of developing your Gardevoir. In this specific case, however, that was hardly necessary.

Pikachu-ex (Platz 4):Bringing up the rear of the top four places is a fairly classic Pikachu-ex deck that makes use of Voltobal and Lektrobal.

Lektrobal can not only do 70 damage for 2 Lightning Energy, but with its 80 HP it can also withstand a weaker attack from popular Fire Pokémon - even if they have the supporter card Giovanni, which allows your Pokémon to deal 10 more damage when attacking .

3rd place shows water-deck variation

The most unusual deck at the top at the moment is probably the water deck in third place. In it we see old friends like Arktos-ex and Misty, but also a new face with Quajutsu.

WithVeil SlasherQuajutsu has an attack that deals 60 damage to the opposing active Pokémon for two energy. While this is a good option for weaker Pokémon, Quajutsu's ability in particular should pique your interest.

WithWater ShurikenIt can do 20 damage to any opposing Pokémon - a good option to gradually annoy your opponents from the background.

The main attacker remains Arktos-ex, which in combination with Misty can quickly eliminate your opponents' Pokémon. Although Quajutsu, as a level 2 Pokémon, takes a little longer to fully evolve, this deck variant is currently gaining popularity and was able to prove itself against competing Starmie-ex and Turtok-ex in this tournament.

As always, we're excited to hear the GamePro community's opinion:How do you like the decks? Are you going to try one of the variations for yourself or have you already been playing it for a long time?
