It is no coincidence that manyPokémonreminiscent of real animals. The creators of the pocket monsters are regularly inspired by our world, which is why we can find electrical devices (Rotom), vehicles (Koraidon and Miraidon) and a wide variety of animals in the game.
A fan has now shared his own design with the community, which is intended to represent the regional form of a Pokémon and is reminiscent of the harsh reality.
Fan draws run over Rattfratz with development
Unfortunately, it is a reality that both smaller and larger animals are regularly hit and even run over. Redditor and artist Matratzfratz used this as a template to create a really cool, albeit rather macabre, Pokémon design:

What can be seen in the picture?Artist Matratzfratz has come up with a regional form of Rattfratz in which it develops from a run-over ghost normal rat into a ghost normal rat. In order for the flattened Rattfratz to develop, it does not have to be revived for three fights.
By the way, artist Matratzfratz even came up with a German name for the regional form:Flatface or ratty mud.
At the bottom left edge of the picture, Matratzfratz has thought of a quote for teenager Julian from the Johto region, who fittingly always runs around with a Rattfratz. Translated, the artist puts the following words into Julian’s mouth about the new Rattfratz:
"Do you know my super cool Rattface? My Rattface is different than normal Rattface. It's like my Rattface is... dead."
The design of the run-over Rattfratz and its introduction by teenager Julian may sound macabre, but they are very well received by both us and the community due to the creativity and successful implementation of the idea. Two days after the design was published, over 27,000 people (as of November 22, 2024) had already given the post a positive rating.
While many users praise the Rattfratz design, discussOther people in the comments expressed how realistic it would be that this or a similar design could make it into the Pokédex.
While there are certainly Pokémon with dark Pokédex entries (we're reminded of Driftlon, which kidnaps children, or Mimigma, which causes people to die when they see it), the corresponding pocket monsters still have cute, strong or cool designs that aren't nearly as macabre as theirs Background stories are.
While we think the rattleface design would definitely fit into the world of Pokémon, a flattened animal probably won't make it into the official games. But who knows? Like other viewers of the Reddit thread, we would be up for a surprise of this kind.
How do you like the regional Rattfratz aka Plattfratz?
