The year is coming to an end and Eiichiro Oda seems to have one last ace up his sleeve to make the story of the One Piece manga incredibly exciting for fans. The One Piece creator and mangaka caused a lot of excitement in the community with the release of Chapter 1134 on December 22nd.
Spoilerwarnung! In the following sections there are spoilers for the Egghead arc and in particular the manga chapter 1134. If you don't know or have read the end of the Egghead arc, some plot twists and highlights of the plot will be anticipated for you.
After the release of the 1134th chapter, there was not only heated discussion about Shanks' possible twin brother and the true antagonists of the Elban arc, but also a glimmer of hope for a happy ending for Kuma and Bonney.
The chapter teases the return of a specific deceased scientist who could possibly cure Kuma of his condition, but it all depends on one person and their success in a resuscitation attempt:Lilith!
Kuma could be his old self again if Vegapunk is revived
In Chapter 1134, it is revealed that Lilith is in possession of a Vegapunk body. Strictly speaking, this is an exact duplicate of Vegapunk, who visited Elban 20 years ago.
Lilith now plans to settle on Elban and build a new research laboratory to revive the original Vegapunk. If she succeeds, Vegapunk could also heal Kuma.
If the scientist is revived, he may be able to reverse Kuma's emotionless state and give him back his memories with a new invention. Ultimately, Kuma gave his body to the world government to cure Bonney's illness and was thus transformed by the experiments into a fighting machine without any emotions.
Vegapunk might be able to reverse the changes and use a new research lab to restore Kuma's memories - even perhaps his body!
But there's a problem: intruders have appeared
Unfortunately, Bonney and Kuma's happiness depends on Lilith's success in reviving Vegapunk, and with the final page of the chapter, disaster threatens the peaceful and happy moments on Elban.
As a teaser for the coming events on Elban, Eiichiro Oda reveals two mysterious cloaked figures, one of whom looks suspiciously like Shanks. At this year's Jump Festa, he also spoke about the introduction of an antagonist that fans are eagerly awaiting in the arc. He vaguely referred to him as “the man”.
One Piece fans can look forward to the upcoming revelations of the previous mysterious man who looks exactly like Shanks and the possible happy ending for Kuma and Bonney.
